The goal of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to deploy and manage Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 in an enterprise production environment.

Before attending this course, students must have:
- Successfully completed Course 1560, Upgrading Support Skills from Microsoft Windows NT to Microsoft Windows 2000, or
- Successfully completed Course 2152, Supporting Windows 2000 Professional and Server, or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes installing Microsoft Windows 2000, using Windows 2000 administration tools, configuring hard disks and partitions, creating and administering printers, and controlling access of file resources by using NTFS and shared folders. And
- Successfully completed Course 2153, Implementing a Network Infrastructure using Microsoft Windows 2000, or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes installing and configuring (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), and Certificate Services.
